My family came down from Montreal and Pembroke to celebrate the Christening of my granddaughter. We chose Tosca's because of the food and the service. The waiters were so friendly and paid attention to the needs of the clients. The food was delicious! We were a group of 24. I would definitely choose this venue as the place to host a party. I am new to the area and have slowly been experimenting with the various eateries in and around Ottawa and area. I happened upon Wakefield and stopped into Le Hibou on a whim. The chef, Keith Garrison, is the best thing to happen to place. I don't know exactly when he started but the difference in food quality from this time last year to now is staggering! Least of all is the fact that they have meat dishes there now. They absolutely hit the jackpot with him. Everyone in Wakefield needs to know his name; search him out. Since he started I have been there for a late lunch once and supper a couple of times and have not been disappointed. He even came out and chatted with me (along with the other customers) once. He's a great addition and a really good guy.

Consistently impressive Indian buffet. Always fresh and fantastic. My grandmother lives close by and we always go out to eat at this restaurant. I even had my graduation lunch here after I finished university. The atmosphere is clean and beautiful, restaurant is fabulously decorated. The owner is lovely and most of the servers have been there since I can remember; always smiling and on the ball, providing endless water and excellent service. The veggie korma is my absolute favourite ever.

Their "midnight snack" menu is excellent, but I usually end up ordering dim sum a la carte due to how much I like it.

My wife and i came here for a night out. We had been recomended the Brew Table by the concierge at the Holiday Inn down the street. We had the steak frites and it was incredible. Cooked perfectly and the service was the best i have ever recieved anywhere. An amazing dining experience all around from appetizer to dessert. Nice touches on their meals. Portions are not over sized, which is good if you don't want to overeat! I've had veal parmigiane (sp?) and the salmon with some unique sauce. The vegetables have been spectacular both times and like I said before, the presentation is pleasing. The house wine (by the glass) is decently priced and quite good. It is a bit pricey though. I would only go back for a very special occasion with my husband. It is a very romantic atmosphere. I am looking forward to going again.

I've had the pleasure of experiencing multiple sushi restaurants in Ottawa, but 168 Sushi in Merivale by far stands out from the rest in regards to the variety available and quality of taste. My fiance and I recommend this location to our friends and family, as well as taking advantage of their fast and effective delivery service. The buffet at both lunch and dinner is reasonably priced and it is very easy to get your money's worth out of the food.
Personal Highlights:
-Miso Soup
-Curry Chicken
-Mango and Crab Rolls
-Pork Dumplings
-Salmon Roses
The restaurant feels more like a night-club than a sushi buffet, but I have grown attached to the overall atmosphere. The service sometimes forgets to bring an item on the card you fill out once in a while, I recommend filling out one card per table for everyone instead of having each person fill out their own card at the same table to make it easier for the chefs (which you get to watch prep the food).

The food may not be considered fine dining, but it is very good. What makes up for it is the service. The staff at this location are fabulous. From the minute I walk in the door we are treated exceptionally. I have some food allergies, and they always treat me superbly and with the utmost care.
